End a training session

Before ending the session

Make sure the training activity is complete and give trainees time to finish their current step.

Tell trainees that the session is about to end so they can save their work and stop sharing if appropriate.

Complete a final group check

1. Return to the wider trainee view.
2. Check for any active help requests.
3. Ask whether anyone needs final clarification.
4. Confirm any next steps, exercises or resources trainees should use after the session.

Use the End Session function

1. Locate the End Session button used to finish the live training session.
2. Confirm that you are ending the correct session.
3. When the confirmation message appears, read it before confirming the action.

Confirm that the session ended

1. Wait for Train Lens to leave the live session state.
2. Confirm that the trainer sees the expected dashboard screen.
3. Check that the session is no longer presented as live.

What happens to trainee screen sharing?

When the trainer closes a session, the trainees are returned to the pre-entry screen of Train Lens. Trainees cannot remain in the training session after the trainer has ended it.

After the session

Return to the trainer dashboard. If you kept notes outside Train Lens, record follow-up actions while they are still fresh.

What should I do next?

Return to the trainer dashboard and confirm that the session is no longer shown as live.
